The Canadian Red Cross has created an official First Aid App and Be Ready App.

These free apps - available in English or French - gives iPhone, iPad and Android smart phone and tablet users instant access to local and real-time information, so they know what to do before, during, and after a disaster.

First Aid App 

The official Canadian Red Cross First Aid app puts lifesaving advice in your hands. Available for Apple and Android mobile devices, the app helps you maintain your first aid skills and respond to everyday emergencies. By downloading the app on your smartphone or tablet, you get instant access to videos, interactive quizzes and simple step-by-step advice to help you maintain your life-saving skills and respond when needed. Download the app to keep lifesaving help in your hands.

House fires, floods, power outages, and even catastrophic earthquakes, whatever the disaster, the official Canadian Red Cross Be Ready app gives users instant access to the information needed in order to prepare for different emergency situations and to take action when a disaster strikes.

Working closely with the Weather Network, the app features an alert system and the ability to monitor and track weather developments, allowing users to prepare their homes and families for disasters.
